A Letter From Lauren
Welcome to A Designers Touch by Lauren, where we bring dreams to life! Together with my amazing team of designers and trade partners, we ensure beautiful designs and an exceptional experience for our clients.
My passion and gift of design began at an early age living in Okinawa, Japan, where I fell in love with all things design and nature. My mother and I spent days walking through the Village Markets watching the craftspeople create mahogany furniture with leather tops and gold inlays, glass blowers creating magnificent pieces, and furniture being upholstered in the most beautiful fabrics I had ever seen!
One of my most precious belongings is a gorgeous Ginger Jar that my mother bought for me at that market over 50 years ago. Every time I walk by it today, I thank my mother for passing along to me her gifts of design, music, and love of the earth. That nostalgia, peace, and gratitude invoked in our home formed the foundation of my love for design and what I aim to cultivate for my clients today.
My appreciation for fine craftsmanship has extended throughout my career. I have partnered with over 130 Trade/Vendors in the Home Furnishings Industry nationally and internationally. I have also partnered with the finest Trade Partners in the High Country of North Carolina. These partnerships enable my firm to provide you with our “first-class” service throughout the entire process from Concept to Completion.
I believe both personally and professionally the greatest gift we have is to “pay it forward”. I am honored as the CEO of A Designer’s Touch by Lauren to be a flagship partner of Musicians Mission of Mercy, a non-profit organization that feeds the hungry in High Country of North Carolina.
When I heard that Musicians Mission of Mercy brought in over 400 thousand pounds of food and other life essentials to Ashe County since the onset of Covid-19, I asked “How can I help?”
A Designer’s Touch by Lauren Design Firm is dedicated to providing dreams for our clients, and those that need dreams to hope for. “Let us never forget how kindness changes lives during the valleys and the mountaintops.”
We look forward to creating tranquil and stunning spaces for you, your family and your friends, where you can share wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!
